I decided since im a dork, love aurora and quite active on 6m.. i decided to put up my own Aurora Indicator for whenever i am active during an opening. If you see the indicator lit up with a different status, it usually means its happening right now, atleast in the North Eastern USA / Canada.

If i go QRT, and there is an opening going on while i leave.. i will leave the indicator posted.. letting people know there is or atleast was an aurora opening during the last 24 hours.

Indicators

When in this status, there is either no Aurora happening in my area, or i am QRT and not around to know it or not. If its in this status, check the other indicators.

Minor AU opening, usually light signals, and very sporadic.

Good opening, signals of atleast 55a and / or lots of activity heard.

Big opening! Strong AU sig's, usually the result of an incoming CME. Signals of 57a-59a are possible, and lots of activity. Keep an ear open for Aur-E's also.
