WSJT SCREENSHOTS

WSJT is a popular program used to make highspeed digital meteor scatter contacts on VHF using modes like FSK441a, JT6M etc. Below is a quick summary of how WSJT works and screenshots of stations i have worked on 6m using WSJT.

How Does WSJT Work ?
WSJT is a computer program for VHF/UHF communication using state of the art digital techniques. It can decode fraction-of-a-second signals reflected from ionized meteor trails, as well as steady signals more than 10 dB weaker than those required for conventional CW. Generally two stations will setup a scheduled contact attempt, and each will take turns transmitting in 30 second intervals. There is different messages required to be sent and received in order for a contact to be valid.

Detailed information about the program and operating procedure can be found HERE.

Screenshot of me receiving K9MU/8 in EN67's grid repord to me. January 2nd, 2006

Notice the 2 very nice meteor pings at around 9 seconds and 13 seconds of the 30 second interval.
